El futuro telco<\/strong> en Am\u00e9rica Latina se encuentra ante un punto de inflexi\u00f3n<\/strong>. Las empresas aceleran la inversi\u00f3n<\/strong> en IA, expanden la oferta B2B<\/strong> y abren sus arquitecturas<\/strong> tecnol\u00f3gicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La eterna tensi\u00f3n<\/strong> entre eficiencia operativa y la necesidad de generar ingresos<\/strong> sostenibles parece haber encontrado un punto de equilibrio<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La IA, la modernizaci\u00f3n de redes<\/strong> y la apertura de arquitecturas digitales permiten tanto transformar el negocio<\/strong> como generar valor real para los clientes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este contexto, el futuro telco<\/strong> pasa por tres grandes caminos<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Acelerar la inversi\u00f3n inteligente<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Expandir la oferta<\/strong> hacia nuevos modelos de negocio B2B y B2B2C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Abrir las arquitecturas tecnol\u00f3gicas para hacer m\u00e1s eficiente cada capa<\/strong> de la operaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La IA, lejos de ser s\u00f3lo una herramienta de automatizaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, se consolida como la herramienta clave<\/strong> para este sector. Hist\u00f3ricamente presionado por la rentabilidad<\/strong> y la complejidad<\/strong> operativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan el reciente informe \u2018El puente hacia el pr\u00f3ximo ecosistema Telecom: retos y prioridades\u2019,<\/strong>elaborado por NTT DATA y MIT Technology Review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y a\u00fan, cuando el 54 %<\/strong> de las empresas telecom<\/strong> est\u00e1n utilizando esta tecnolog\u00eda para reducir costos<\/strong>, su potencial no se reduce<\/strong> a eso. Los casos de uso m\u00e1s s\u00f3lidos en la actualidad se concentran en tres dominios clave:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operaciones<\/strong> (automatizaci\u00f3n de procesos, redes aut\u00f3nomas). Experiencia del cliente<\/strong> (agentes conversacionales, soporte t\u00e9cnico inteligente) y eficiencia comercial<\/strong> (asistentes virtuales para ventas B2B).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uno de los desaf\u00edos<\/strong> que aparecen en el camino consiste en demostrar el ROI<\/strong> de estos proyectos. Esto se debe al car\u00e1cter experimental<\/strong> de muchas iniciativas, que combinan procesos tradicionales<\/strong> con tecnolog\u00edas emergentes. Donde no siempre es f\u00e1cil<\/strong> predecir el impacto inmediato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otros pasos hacia el futuro telco<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Desde el punto de vista de la evoluci\u00f3n del negocio<\/strong>, la gran apuesta pendiente contin\u00faa siendo el mercado B2B y B2B2C<\/strong>. Aunque las operadoras depositaron altas expectativas<\/strong> en este segmento, el crecimiento contin\u00faa por debajo<\/strong> de lo proyectado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo que responde, en parte, a la falta de productos maduros<\/strong> y a una oferta poco<\/strong> diferenciada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La oportunidad est\u00e1 en crear soluciones espec\u00edficas<\/strong> para sectores como banca, energ\u00eda<\/strong>, salud, educaci\u00f3n<\/strong>o manufactura. Con propuestas tecnol\u00f3gicas<\/strong> que combinen IA, ciberseguridad, conectividad<\/strong> y servicios cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tambi\u00e9n, en desarrollar capacidades<\/strong> para responder a los segmentos mid market<\/strong> y pyme con servicios digitales<\/strong> de valor agregado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por otra parte, el despliegue de 5G<\/strong>, el avance de redes aut\u00f3nomas y la adopci\u00f3n de OpenRAN<\/strong> son se\u00f1ales de que las empresas telco est\u00e1n mirando el largo plazo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aunque s\u00f3lo la mitad<\/strong> est\u00e1 en etapas iniciales de autonom\u00eda de red<\/strong>, la aspiraci\u00f3n parece apuntar a alcanzar un modelo \u00e1gil<\/strong>, programable y monetizable<\/strong> en los pr\u00f3ximos cinco a\u00f1os<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Han aparecido<\/strong> nuevas formas de conectividad<\/strong> como la comunicaci\u00f3n satelital, relevante en pa\u00edses como Argentina<\/strong>, Brasil o Chile<\/strong>. Esto permitir\u00e1 ampliar la cobertura<\/strong> y brindar servicios en zonas remotas<\/strong>, sumando nuevas capas<\/strong> de valor al ecosistema. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En una regi\u00f3n con\u00a0grandes players<\/strong>, geograf\u00edas complejas y una\u00a0fuerte presi\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0por mejorar la\u00a0rentabilidad<\/strong>, los ganadores ser\u00e1n\u00a0quienes prioricen<\/strong>\u00a0las inversiones.
